After a week off there have been some developments . Firstly , congratulations to Chris Mc Claren on winning our annual Bob Vass competition played on 13th July . A close competition was "enjoyed" by most with Chris just pipping Keith Sutcliffe . At one stage I , like some others , thought I had one hand on the trophy but like grains of sand it slipped through my fingers . Oh well there's all ways next year , may be . Today we resumed the friendly fixtures and the visitors were Horsforth . They too went home with their tails between their legs , in a friendly way of course . The results today were myself and Wyn Parry won 3 & 2 , Mike Day and Bob Helley won 2 up , Les Cooper and Ian Peirson won 5 & 3 , Tim Winterburn and Ray Hawley halved and Peter Mungovin and Mike Davies won 4 & 3 , well done lads and the next game is finally an away one at Cleckheaton on 30th July . The captains "away" day planned for Skipton on Thursday 13th August has now , because of the virus / restrictions , become our "Howay" day at West Bradford on the same date. More details to follow but get your name on the list . Next Monday I will not be here and I know you will miss me and it will be a struggle but you will just have to manage !.Have a good week end chaps , keep safe and see you all later next week , Andrew
