Today the final of our summer KO comp. was played between Paul Winter and Les Cooper . The game was very close , played in good spirit and all types of weather , cold to start , rain , and sunshine . Both chaps came prepared for the "heat" , Paul with no umbrella facility and Les in seasonal  shorts . Actually , the game was postponed from yesterday because of the rain , and may be that's why there was only 1 spectator , mr. birthday man Bob Helley  to watch , a bit disappointing lads . Any way , in the end Les just edged out Paul 3 & 2 in a very competitive game to win this years summer KO competition , well done to both men . congratulations to Les and commiserations to Paul .   Next Monday is the last SCC week and its too close to call . Paul Winter , Ian Peirson and Peter Leskovac are all in contention and in tradition will all play first together on Monday , good luck chaps . Keep well and safe over the week end , Andrew
