Today we played our third friendly game and another emphatic victory was achieved . This time at home to Longley Park . Whilst there were no bacon sandwichs half way round , we all enjoyed a drink and hospitality in the sunshine afterwards . The results were as follows , myself and Tim Winterburn halved , John Goodyear and Bob Helley won 5 & 3 , David Potts and Les Cooper won 5 & 3 , Ian Peirson and Mike Davies won 3 & 2 , Roy Baker and Eddie Presland won 2 & 1 and Ray Hawley and Peter Mungovin won 4 & 3 , well done indeed lads . There appears to be some unrest with regard to friendly team selections . Try as I may to appease all , certain circumstances overtake my initial choices . If picked , can you please try and make sure that you are available for both home and away fixtures . Next Monday , 10th May , it will be SCC Week 4 and immediately after the draw will take place for the Summer knock out competition , make sure your name is on the list on the notice board if you want to play .
