The results for the final week of the Senior Captain’s Cup have now been fully audited thanks to the 2 R’s, Roy & Richard and I can confirm that the 2020 Seniors Section Champion Golfer is Paul Winter.
Once again many congratulations to our deserved winner in Paul and commiserations to runner up Ian Peirson and the chasing pack, who pushed him all the way.

Quite a few players managed to improve on their scores and move up the leaderboard in the final week, notably Richard Adams with 38, the top score of the day leaving him 6th equal in the table.
Richard’s 38 was closely followed by Roy Baker’s 37, which was enough to move him above yours truly by one point in to 3rd in the table 😢
Paul’s 37 not only withstood the pressures of the final round but he rose above it all by extending his winning margin to 5 points to become champion golfer for the 2nd time 👏🏻👏🏻🏆

John Dutton’s 36 and 4th place on the day on countback over Colin Hayhurst, which was Colin’s best of the season, gave John an extra 4 points to finish 4th equal with Pete Leskovac.
Clearly a different kind of 4️⃣ or ‘fore’ for John of late! 😉

It’s been a tough year for many and some have had sadly to miss much of the season so it’s a heartfelt thanks to those guys and to everyone who managed to play in this year’s SCC. 🙏🏼
Let’s all hope that normality is resumed before the 2021 SCC next April 🤞🏻
