Everything comes to be who waits and after 15 years as a senior, that moment has finally arrived for our much loved Alan Greenwood!

In his many years as a West Bradford member, Alan has had success in various club cup competitions, but amazingly never in the seniors section.

Well, I’m pleased to say that his long wait is finally over as Alan achieved a long ambition and romped home in impressive style with his first ever seniors trophy and the first seniors section one of 2022 by winning the Winter League 🏆

This is played over 12 weeks during October- March and the winner is determined by the highest 6 combined stableford scores. Alan topped the table with a huge 243 points at an average of just 40.5 showing the full benefits of mats, preferred lies and bunkers gur!

2nd place with 234 points went to Eddie Presland, who pushed John Goodyear in to 3rd on count back. 4th place with 231 points was Ian Peirson and completing the list of prize winners in 5th place was Roy Baker on 230.

Congratulations to Alan and we all now look forward to hearing his acceptance speech at this year’s Seniors Xmas lunch 😬
