If you thought cricket’s T20 World Cup Final between England and New Zealand was an exciting climax, well you might have a golfing equivalent to match it come this Friday 2 August when Colin Green’s Lawrence Batley lads take on table toppers Huddersfield at home in the final league game of the season!

Huddersfield can’t be caught so it’s between Woodsome Hall who sit in 3rd place and West Bradford in 2nd as to who qualifies in 2nd spot to make the quarter finals!

Despite having a superb season losing just once and not been out of 2nd place since week 1 it still goes down to the final week to determine the top two. Whilst we have a tough home game against the leaders, we can take comfort from achieving a hard fought 4-4 draw at their place.

We also have a crucial 5 point lead over Woodsome Hall who travel to Low Laithes so our target is to get a minimum 4 points against Huddersfield to make it impossible to be pipped at the post irrespective of Woodsome’s result!

If anyone is free to give the lads some home support then it will be more than welcome.
