The penultimate week of the Senior Captain’s Cup SCC 17 proved to be yet another tough scoring week for the majority of the field despite the glorious weather and playing conditions.

Once again only a couple of players managed to beat par, namely our winner on the day Eddie Presland with a very impressive round of 39 followed by ‘super senior’ Mike Davies, who rolled back the years with his super round of 37! Well done to them both 👏🏻👏🏻

The man with the swing, John Goodyear came in 3rd on the day with a very good par score of 36 followed by a 33 from Roy Baker, who amazingly was the only player in the top ten to improve his leaderboard score!

Next week sees the final week of the SCC with cup double chasing Paul Winter still leading Ian Peirson by 3 points, who then has a comfortable 10 point lead over 3rd place Pete Leskovac followed by a big closely bunched chasing pack. It’s gonna take a minimum 38 for Ian to overhaul Paul on the final week, but if anyone can Ian can.

Should be an interesting finish with the top 3 players traditionally leading the field out for the end of season finale. 🏆
