Not the easiest of days to play in for week 9 of the Senior Captain’s Cup SCC 9, which was reflected in the scores.

With a few away in holiday it was perhaps a missed opportunity for all excepted John Goodyear who maintained his recent good form with an impressive 37 points. John  was the only player to reach par as his nearest rivals were Mike Day & Alan Evans both with 34 points.

Ian Peirson is tournament leader from ‘Super Seniors’ birthday boy Colin Pitman & Bob Helley. Best part of the day was the bun fest in celebration of not only Colin’s birthday, but also that of skipper Andrew Haigh who treated us to some home grown strawberries!! Next Monday is the halfway stage in the tournament at week 10
