Week 16 of the Senior Captain’s Cup SCC 16 was a stableford with 24 players including a couple of old ones and new ones.

Clear winner on the day with 40 points and a 2 shot drop in handicap was Seniors Captain Andrew Haigh with Alan Evans some 4 points back on 36 in 2nd.

Ever improving Richard Adams is clearly benefiting from lessons with Mrs Adams as he finished 3rd on countback with 35 edging out ‘Super Senior’ Chris Eccleshall as he rolled back the years!

With just 4 more weeks remaining for everyone to improve the lowest of their 8 recorded scores there was no change in the top of leaderboard with Steve Crawshaw’s 292 still leading from John Goodyear by 3 points. They are both hotly pursued by a chasing pack led by Alan Evans, Richard Adams and Ian Peirson.

Next week is a bank holiday roll up team game with SCC week 17 on Monday 2 September.
