Yes it’s that time again with Christmas on the horizon and the season of merriment. To celebrate the occasion our Seniors Section will have our traditional Christmas lunch and prize presentation on Wednesday 18 December.

Weather permitting this will commence with 10 holes of competitive 4BBB stableford golf, which for 2019 will also include our over 70’s competing for the Chas Hammond Cup and a £30 first prize!

Lunch will follow from 1pm comprising a mushroom and cracked black pepper soup starter and roast turkey with trimmings for main followed by coffee and mints and incorporate our 2019 Seniors Section prize presentation along with the odd brief speech!

For the sport aficionados we will also have snooker, dominoes and darts competitions to follow the prize presentation along with maybe the odd drink. Invited honoured guests include Chris McLaren, Club Captain, Chris Rodwell, Club President, Jamie Coverley, Club PGA Professional and Damian Connearn, Business Development Manager.

The cost is just £15 with jackets and ties the dress code for the meal and is open to all current and past members over 55 years of age.

You can opt to play in any or all of the golf, snooker, doms or darts comps or simply enjoy the meal with everyone. The day is always an excellent get together so please book early to avoid disappointment!

If you would like to ensure your place then please do so by entering your name on the list displayed on the seniors notice board no later than Monday 16 December. Could you also please indicate whether you wish to compete in any of the listed competitions with a YES or NO.

The draw for partners will take place Monday 16 December in the clubhouse following the usual Monday morning Winter League Week 6 comp. Tee times will be allocated between the hours of 0900 – 1030 with lunch sometime between 1pm & 130 pm. Please support your section.
