With the carry only policy in situ only 12 seniors attended for week 8 of the winter league, but for many the course conditions made it a good scoring week opportunity.

This was certainly the case for Alan Greenwood & Ian Peirson who went toe to toe in their battle for top spot. Ian scored an impressive 44 points, which has resulted in a drop in his Monday handicap to 11!

Alan went one better to win the day with a belting 45 points and a new Monday handicap of 13! Whilst his favourite football team, Bradford Park Avenue lie  bottom of the National League North table, the opposite was true for Alan as his Monday score shot him up the leaderboard to top spot! 🔝

Ian Lightbody also has a good round finishing 3rd on the day with 41 points and giving him a one shot drop in handicap to 23, which he gleefully accepted! 😉
It’s certainly looking good at the moment for Alan, but with 4 more qualifying weeks to go, there’s a few in the chasing pack that have not given up just yet!
