The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived, the result from today’s eagerly anticipated result between the top 2 in the Lawrence Batley league!

West Bradford at home to Huddersfield and all we needed was 4 points to guarantee a place in the quarter finals. A tough game was expected as we were playing the league leaders, who were still smarting from our early season 4-4 draw at their place. What could go wrong?

A perfect day weather wise and with the course in great condition it was the ideal setting for what was to be an epic encounter. Sadly Sky Sports considered the Ashes Test Match to be a more attractive venue for their cameras!

It is worth repeating that Colin Green has ably led his troops from the front from first to last game of the season, which revealed only one defeat prior to today’s game.

The whole squad of players have represented the club with distinction playing some excellent golf and Colin would like to use this opportunity to thank them for their support throughout the year.

As for the result from today’s game it was sadly not to be the victory that we wanted..........

However it was a draw! 

WBGC 4 Huddersfield 4 and means we have qualified for the quarter finals!!!!!!!

good news is we are in the last 8 and have been drawn to play Crow Nest Park at Hanging Heaton on Friday 9 August.
