Winter Golf at West Bradford Golf Club.

18 Holes

We take Winter Golf seriously at West Bradford which is why we try and keep the golf course open as much as possible over Winter, and why we also try and keep all 18 holes open whenever we can.

Of course it's impossible to keep all 18 holes open every day during Winter, in rain, sleet and snow, but you will find that West Bradford tends to be open more than most courses - due to the course's excellent drainage and the preparation work that our Greens Team do in the lead up to Winter.

Permanent Greens

We're not the biggest fans of temporary greens here either. Of course we'll use temporaries in cases of light snow or heavy frost, when the choice is between keeping the golf course open with temporary greens or closing it entirely. But you won't catch us replacing our permanent greens with temporaries for the whole of winter, or after heavy rain or light frost.

Grass Tee's

We like to keep golfers playing off the grass whenever possible during the Winter period.

We tend to use Winter Tee Mats for our par 3's, and keep all other holes on grass tees.
