The annual ladies and gents game was played in glorious sunshine on Thursday and even though there were no kisses and cuddles , lots of elbows were greased !. Preparation was a bit behind the curve , but in the end twelve ladies and twelve gents had a great time considering the current climate . Appreciations to Peter Bower , Peter Leskovac and Tim Winterburn for filling the breach at the last moment , thanks chaps . Lets hope next year both matches take place and sociability is back on the table . The results for all the games were Denise ,Trish , Roy and Tim 81 pts. Pam , Marjorie , Les and Colin 79 pts. Sandra , Jayne , Ray and Mike 77 pts. Helen , Carol , Peter and Ian 76 pts. Jenny , Karen , Bob and Peter 75 pts. Helgi , Jackie , Mike and myself 73 pts. Well done every one , especially the first group , and I think we all behaved . Next week things come to a climax with ( weather permitting ) the final of the summer KO comp. on Wednesday 23rd . This years finalists are Les Cooper and Paul Winter , well done to both and good luck in the final . Members are encouraged to come and watch the game which  I'm sure will be a close one . All so , on Thursday is the last friendly away at Horsforth ( lock down permitting ) , the team sheet is on on the board. Additionally , Mondays , 21st , SCC is the penultimate game and its neck and neck at the top . I am still waiting for my " phenomenal " score , so I don't think I will effect the out come this year !. Finally , but by no means least , congratulations to Mr. Bob Helley who is 80 today . Happy birthday Bob . Its a pleasure to play golf with Bob , who is the epitome of composure and dignity . Other than his "toad in the hole" story , I believe all he says! and I hope I can play as well as he when /if I get to 80 . Well done Bob and I understand there are goodies in the pro shop on Monday.
