Planes may not be flying but the West Bradford Seniors team certainly are , with yet another win under the seat belt at Horsforth . As with some other clubs we did not visit Horsforth last year and we all admired the new club house alterations and especially the impressive new patio area which today was bathed in sunshine for us to enjoy our after match hospitality . The course and greens were immaculate which gave way to excellent competitive yet friendly golf , overall a very pleasant  . The results were myself and Colin Pitman halved , Les Cooper and Peter Mungovin lost 1 down , Bob Helley and John Goodyear won 1 up , Roy Baker and Wyn Parry won 5 & 3 , Mike Davies and Tim Winterburn won 8 & 6 , what a great result , well done boys . Next up is Northcliffe away on Thursday 1st July , which is a very important day for two of our senior players , and the team sheet is on the notice board . Changing tack , congratulations are due to John Dutton who last week won the Bob Vass memorial trophy with a very impressive score of 42 , just pipping Colin Hayhurst on count back , well done to both players . The shindig continues next Monday with week 10 SCC . I know who I will be shouting for next week , but my daughter in law is German , she's a good girl but I don't want her team to win ! . Have a great week end , keep safe and I will see you on Monday , cheers Andrew .
