As in life our golf (most of the time ) gets better as time goes on and yesterdays friendly  match at Woodhall Hills was a good example . After our home 4 - 1 win a few weeks ago  they put in a strong team but the result was still a 2 - 1 win for us with two games halved . I have to say that I very much appreciated the sporting gesture of halving the game between myself and Eddie  after he had to retire injured , by our opponents David and Stephen . The final result was Eddie Presland and myself halved , Bob Helley and John Goodyear halved , Wyn Parry and Les Cooper lost 6 & 5 , Peter Mungovin and Roy Baker won 2 & 1 , Tim Winterburn and Eric Reucroft won 5 & 3 , well done boys  , lets keep it going for the next game at Horsforth which has the earlier start at 9.0 , team sheet for this match is on the notice board along with details of the Captains Away Day at Skipton . There is no let up of activity with SCC week 9 next Monday and first round K. O. games complete by Thursday 24th June . Lets hope England can make it to the K O stage too!.
