The popular winner of today’s Seniors 2020 Bob Vass Memorial Trophy was past club captain Chris McLaren, who sadly does not do social media but here he is in all his glory!
A tough day at the office for most players with Chris’s 37 points narrowly beating Keith Sutcliffe on countback with Bob Helley in 3rd place the only other player to make par!
Chris will receive a gleaming trophy and voucher prize at the Seniors Xmas lunch on Wednesday 16 December.
All scores counted as SCC 7 towards the Senior Captain’s Cup and the leaderboard still shows former Bantam Roy Baker in top spot with 227 points, but now equal top with Richard Adams and Bob Helley on 225.
However, much will change over the coming weeks when all players accrue 8 scores as tournament favourite Ray Hawley is only 14 points behind with a game in hand!
