Whilst the euphoria of England’s football team 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 is at an all time high with the sound of 🎼It’s coming home🎼 sounding loud and proud, it’s also been a very good golfing week for one of our younger seniors in John Dutton, who luckily for him still has a 5 in the front of his age!

Not only does he narrowly lead the Senior Captain’s Cup by one point over ‘super senior’ veteran Keith Sutcliffe as we reach the halfway stage, but John also became the first seniors competition winner of the summer in the recent Bob Vass Memorial Trophy with 42 points when he edged out another ‘super senior’ in Colin Hayhurst on countback.

With another 10 weeks remaining there’s undoubtedly a long way to go for everyone in what is the seniors most prestigious competition, in which the winning champion golfer is based on achieving the best 8 aggregate stableford scores from a maximum of 20 weeks.

Good luck to everyone involved and many congratulations to John on winning his first West Bradford Seniors trophy 🏆 👏🏻
