You will recall that one of our long standing and popular members, namely Douglas Ingham was in hospital just prior to the lockdown as a result of a fall at his home on Baildon.

Some of our newer members will not be familiar with Doug as he has not been able to play for a long time due to ill health, but Doug has been Club President and Club Secretary in his time at West Bradford.

The current Covid-19 restrictions do not allow for home visits so I emailed Doug to enquire about his health and the following is a copy of his reply and our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Dear Peter,

Thanks for your e-mail, it was very kind of you to enquire. I am not improving as much as I had hoped for. l am confined to the ground floor and can move around with the use of a zimmer and with the assistance of David. I have a carer coming twice a day, in the morning and evening.

I have been given a series of exercises, which I do morning and afternoon to improve strength and mobility. The next step is to improve sufficiently to be able to negotiate the steps outside and hopefully visit Shirley whenever that becomes possible.

At the moment unfortunately I will not be able to attend any functions.

Once again, thanks.

Cheers

Douglas
