Thankfully the weather forecasters were way out come Monday as the sun shone and the thunderstorms stayed away along with one or two seniors who perhaps feared the worst! 💨💦

Week 12 of the Senior Captain’s Cup SCC saw Paul Winter retain his lead at the top of the leaderboard as he maintained his good form with a solid 35 points.

Winner on the day and making a quantum leap in to 7th was Simon Major with his controlled 38 points, 3 more than 2nd place ‘Super Senior’ Bob Helley who edged out the following ‘35ers’ on countback with an impressive back nine over Steve Crawshaw, Keith Sutcliffe, Pete Leskovac and Paul Winter.

With 6 more weeks to go Paul’s lead of 8 points over Ray Hawley in 2nd is substantial, but with 6 more weeks to go there’s lots to play for and a chasing pack!
