After what seemed like forever waiting for the bad weather to lift, it was a pleasant surprise to be able to play golf once again and complete week 10 of the delayed Seniors Winter League.

An even bigger surprise was the level of scoring with not one player achieving less than par!

The clear winner on the day despite a 2 month absence was Colin Hayhurst with a mammoth 46 points, which was the highest during the whole of the winter league resulting in a 3 shot pull!

Eddie Presland returned an excellent back nine to make 42 points and finish 2nd above the following, Ray Hawley, Pete Leskovac and Colin Pitman, who all made 41 points.

Scores on the doors show we now have a new tournament leader in yours truly, Pete Leskovac by just one point from Ian Peirson and 2 from Alan Greenwood, but for how long will be anyone’s guess given how close the top of the table looks.

There are just 2 more weeks to go, which weather permitting are scheduled for the following 2 Mondays on 9 & 16 March when you have to be in it to win it!
