The enforced lockdown break that was quickly followed by the unwelcome snow clearly did not affect the golf on resumption of the Seniors Winter League.

With the 9 hole loop being the order of the day, a well done and thank you goes to Eddie Presland for being on the ball and preparing the adjusted scorecards for the day.

With forward tees, mats through the green, bunkers GUR and perfect playing conditions it was undoubtedly a huge opportunity to score well and so it proved as Pete Leskovac top scored with 46 points followed by four others also in the 40’s!

Eddie Presland came 2nd with 45, John Goodyear 3rd with 44, Steve Crawshaw was 4th with 43 and Peter Mungovin a ‘lowly’ 5th and no prize money despite a whopping 42! All scores that on any other day would have normally expected to finish in top spot!

With previous leader Wynn Parry absent, a new tournament leader was revealed in John Goodyear, who after week 4 narrowly leads ‘super senior’ Bob Helley by just a single point and by 7 points over Eddie P in 3rd.

Due to recent course closures the next 2 Mondays will be also be Winter League comps, as follows Monday 14 December week 5 & Monday 21 December week 6.
