Most of you will be aware that in recent winter seasons our seniors Monday competitions have incorporated a locally produced handicapping system, which worked well and was embraced by all.

The Seniors Section Committee did not continue with this system  for 2020/21 as the launch of the new World Handicap System WHS was scheduled to commence mid winter season and little was known as to how this would impact on our Monday competitions and in particular handicaps.

We now know that there will likely be no qualifiers till the end of March and therefore following a committee meeting last night, we have decided to reintroduce a seniors section handicapping system that will apply to Mondays only and will come in to immediate effect on Monday 14 December.

Attached is how the system will operate for the Monday winter competitions only and not any other days or competitions.

Your skipper Andrew and committee are keen to encourage camaraderie and enjoyment of golf in these difficult times and to do so in a competitive and friendly environment for all, irrespective of abilities.

Hopefully everyone will embrace this change mid season and recognise the reasons in doing so in advance of when the WHS system kicks in next year.
