STEVE ‘MURGY’ MURGATROYD 🖤

Some sad news to announce that former West Bradfordian Steve Murgatroyd passed away on 15 June aged 89.

Steve, better known as Murgy was a long standing member for many years before having to give up due to ill health. Older WBGC members will also recall that he was a founder of Diamond Seal, who were one of the first upvc window companies in the UK and sponsors of the Bradford City kit and kop stand back in the 90’s.

Murgy was a popular and much respected member amongst the seniors section having been seniors captain and committee member for many years.

To celebrate his life golfing friends are invited to attend his funeral at Scholemoor Crematorium on Friday 8 July at 1050.
