Welcome to the WBGC Members Forum
Gentlemen
i would like feedback on the following proposition please.
Currently all external and open Seniors competitions are played from yellow tees.
Now that we have a properly measured qualifying yellow course, I would propose that the SCC competitions next year follow that trend and switch to the yellow tees from the current white.
Comments?

Hi Tony, First of all many thanks for your help and support regarding our seniors section Monday competitions, which has been much appreciated.
Re your request for comments in respect of the proposal to adopt yellow tees instead of white for next year, it is the intention of the seniors committee to fully discuss this in liaison with seniors members and report back accordingly.
It is fair to say that initial comments received both verbally and on WBGC’s Facebook Members forum indicate a strong preference to maintain the tradition of white tees.
Personally, I believe our seniors section as a whole is all the stronger for playing their competition golf at the highest level possible and this is perhaps borne out by the fact that in 2019 we have won the prestigious Lawrence Batley trophy for the first time in our history with this year’s team boasting several regular Monday seniors. In addition, our Seniors Friendlies Team has also enjoyed its best ever season with 13 wins in 15 games! All of which reflects the strength of our seniors golf as a whole.
Having said that you can rest assured that the Seniors Section committee led by our Seniors Captain Andrew Haigh will raise the issue at the next available opportunity by seeking views from all it’s Monday seniors members and duly feedback a response in readiness for 2020.
Thanks again for your continued support and for raising the issue.
