Week 6 of the Senior Captain’s Cup proved to be a tough one for most due to the windy conditions with only one player a achieving a par score of 36!
That player was none other than one of our ‘super seniors’ namely, Bob Helley, who’s impressive efforts were rewarded with finishing first, collecting the top prize money and a shot drop (0.6) in handicap due to the competition scratch score on the day being 71.
Runner up and another one to master the conditions with a creditable 33 points was Mike Day.
Whilst it’s very tight at the top of the table the tournament leader for a second week running is Colin Hayhurst, but the chasing pack are closing in.
