Last monday we played our annual Bob Vass memorial game which was won in style by  Alan Low with a great score of 38 points closely followed by Maurice Tillotson on 36 , congratulations to alan who will be presented with the trophy and a voucher at our christmas dinner event . Its a unique trophy but I and other past winners know that no matter what it says on it , there's no whisky in it! , still , very well done alan . Moving on to yesterdays match at Wood Hall hills , the day really did start with an early morning wake up as two of our regular team members informed me that they unfortunately could not attend , hope they are a bit better now . But in true west bradford spirit and after a bit of " flapping about" alan greenwood and peter leskovac thankfully filled the breach, I would like to say how gratifying it is for me to call members at such short notice , thank you alan and peter . The match itself  was a complete success with all five teams winning which completes the double over wood hall. The results were , myself and Peter Mungovin won 6&4 , John Goodyear and Colin Pitman won 7&6 , Ian Lightbody (sorry Ian about last weeks spelling but it could have been worse!) and Peter Leskovac won 2&1 ,Ian Peirson and Alan Greenwood won3&2 , Alan Evans and Mike Day won 3&2 , well boys . Next up is Horseforth but at the moment we only have 8 men. Next monday 24th , weather permitting , it will be week 8 of our summer cup and to keep the integrity of the competition all cards must go in the computer . Have a good week end and see you all on monday , andrew
