The table was turned last Thursday as we hosted Horsforth GC and got some measure of revenge for our loss a few weeks ago , which was very satisfying . The heat really was on for us to do well and on the hottest day of the year , when brollys were not used for rain ,  quite a few of our team were on fire !. Thanks to Bill Green and Alan Low for stepping in at the last moment . The results were , myself and Ray Hawley won 3&2 , Alan Evans and Ian Peirson won 4&2 , Bill Green and John Goodyear won 6&5 , Ian Lightbody and Alan Low lost by 1 , and Bob Helley and Colin Pitman lost 2&1 . Well , I think they lost , as last week Bob said he lost but actually won , may be it would be better if Bob half's from now on then he can't go wrong !. Next week is very busy , Monday 29th is week 13 of our summer comp. , on  Tuesday some members will compete at Bradley Hall , thank you Peter Leskovac for arranging that . Wednesday is the Chas Hammond cup for our older lads and our friendly home match against Cleckheaton is on FRIDAY 2nd August , the sheet is on the board with still some places .
