I was convinced I could play better than last week , and I did , but still lost !. But as a team we beat Cleckheaton 4 to 1 to balance the scales . Nice one chaps . The scores were I lost 4 & 3 , Roy Baker and Colin Pitman won 7 & 6 , Bob Helley and Mike Davies won 4 & 2 , Ray Hawley and Ian Peirson won 4 & 3 , Les Cooper and Wyn Parry won 4 & 3 , very well played to all . The next friendly is away to Northcliff on TUESDAY 18th August , 8-30 for 1st tee off at 9-0 am with 11 minuete intervals , the team sheet is on our notice board . Next Thursday , as you all know , is our Howay Day here . All the preparation appear to be in place , refreshments etc. before and after , order of play and format , all the usual things . We just need the weather to be favourable and be aware of the latest virus restrictions , what could possibly go wrong!. Moving on , week 16 (11) is on Monday and things are hotting up on the leader board . There are 6 more scc games after that to get that phenomenal score in . Some players have mentioned Mondays have gone a little stale , so Mondays game may have a different format , there's only two to choose !, all will be revealed on the day .
