Senior Captain’s Cup week 13 was unlucky for everyone barring the tournament leader, Paul Winter, who was the only player to beat par as he notched top score of the day with 38 points and extended his lead at the top.

The few notable scores on the day came from John Walker, who showed good form finishing 2nd on countback with 36 points over Ian Peirson and Keith Sutcliffe, with Peter Mungovin in 4th after his 3 blobs round of 35!

Numero uno, Paul has shown great strength of determination and resilience in not only his return to golf after an 18 month lay off due to a serious shoulder injury, but to recapture his previous form. With 5 weeks to go he sits proudly on top of the table (unlike his beloved Arsenal), by a whopping 13 points from from the ‘deadly duo’ of Ian Peirson in 2nd on 288 and absentee Ray ‘Howley’ Hawley in 3rd equal with yours truly Pete Leskovac on 283.

Richard Adams & John Dutton are 5 points further back in 5th place still in with a shout along with the poleton of would be champions not far behind.
