The Greenkeeping team have been busy working around the greens this morning. The greens and the aprons have been cut and sprayed. All the bunkers have also been raked. We're all ready for today's golfers.
We're taking advantage of the course closure today, to fix the collapsed dry stone wall that runs alongside the 2nd. Part of the wall collapsed - with large stones falling onto the edge of the course - last year. The work started yesterday afternoon, and is continuing today.
The finishing touches are being added to the major refurbishment of The Clubhouse that has been going on since the first week in January.The walls have been painted a lovely, warm, "Porcelain Stone" grey colour, the back wall of the Main Lounge has been papered with a swirl pattern - turning it into a feature [...]
Our Facebook followers may remember an online discussion about deer sightings on the course back in October, after I had managed to capture a very grainy image of one on the 2nd. Rob Gee has managed to go one better and got a few decent images of two deer down by the 9th this morning. [...]
The Clubhouse refurb is progressing well. The main ceiling is now finished, with brand new LED spotlights, and some colour has been added to the walls.
